Frequently asked questions

How much does B.Tech CSE cost for an African or non-SAARC student at LPU?

The standard B.Tech CSE international fee is about USD 2,500 per semester (USD 5,000 a year, roughly INR 4.2 lakh) before scholarship; Hons. specialisations run USD 3,000 per semester. A 60% merit scholarship cuts the standard fee to about USD 1,000 per semester. An examination fee of USD 75 per semester is charged on top.

Do students from Nepal or Bangladesh pay in dollars?

No. Nationals of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka are billed in rupees at a SAARC tier close to the Indian fee (for example about INR 1.8 lakh per semester for B.Tech CSE) and can also sit LPUNEST like Indian applicants.

Is there an application fee and how long does an offer take?

International applications on intadmit.lpu.in are free. A provisional offer is normally issued within a few working days of uploading transcripts, and the final admission letter follows payment of the initial fee.

Can I keep my scholarship for all four years?

Yes, as long as you remain enrolled in good standing; the fee and scholarship structure chosen at admission stays fixed for the whole programme. You may pay the first instalment in USD and later semesters in INR.

How do I get from the airport to campus?

LPU runs a complimentary pick-up from Delhi (IGI) and Amritsar airports; log your flight details on the admit portal at least one week before arrival. Phagwara also has its own railway station on the Delhi-Amritsar line.
