Schengen 90/180 Day Calculator

Enter every past Schengen trip and any planned future trip. The calculator counts days used inside the rolling 180-day window and flags any overstay risk. Nothing is stored — this runs entirely in your browser.

The 90/180 rule generally allows short stays of up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period. The window moves forward each day — it does not reset at year-end or when you leave Schengen.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Schengen 90/180 rule?

You may stay in the Schengen area for up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day window. The window moves with you — each new day, a new 180-day look-back applies.

Do entry and exit days both count?

Yes. Under the standard Schengen convention, both your entry date and exit date count as days of presence. A trip from 1 January to 7 January counts as 7 days, not 6.

What happens if I exceed 90 days?

Exceeding 90 days in any 180-day window is an overstay. This can result in fines, deportation, a ban from re-entering the Schengen area, and difficulties obtaining future visas.

Does the 180-day period reset?

No. The 180-day window is rolling — it moves forward each day. It does not reset at the start of a calendar year or after you leave. Your previous stays always count toward the next 180-day look-back.

Does this calculator store my data?

No. All calculation happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to Krosz or any third party.

Is this an official count?

No. This is a planning aid. Border guards apply the rule to your actual entry/exit stamps. Always verify against your passport stamps and official EU guidance before travel.

How these tools work: Krosz resolves your destination against the same verified visa information used across the application experience. A number is shown only when that field is confirmed; otherwise it stays marked as being verified. Visa rules can change — always review the destination page before travel.
